alice in fuckin’ chains

It’s 2009, I didnt think this day will come. not now, not more than a decade after i heard alice in chains’s last album.
After Layne Staley died it looked like the game is over, cos who can replace him?

Changing the lead singer of a great band is highly problematic, specialy when dealing with rockers – cos we dont like it when even the slightest change takes place in any aspect of our metal band of choice. let alone the fuckin singer??!!!!??

it’s a very difficult move for the band to change the lead singer, and most of the times i say “why??”
it worked very good for AC/DC no doubt, iron maiden were stupid enough to change the almighty bruce dickinson with blaze bayley (i’ve met the guy and for crying out loud, what were u thinking steve) and we all know how that ended, and there are other examples, but Layne Staley?!

for me, alice in chains days were long go and i liked it. i didnt want them to make a silly shitti come-back with a layne staley wonna be.
but today something i thought i wouldnt feel again in my life happened while i listened to A LOOKING IN VIEW – alice in chains new singel: i felt the same as i did so many years ago when i listened to alice’s old stuff.
before listening to the single i told myself that even if it would be a good song, it wouldnt b like the “real” alice in chains. but man it IS!!!!

Great song, great sound, the heaviness i like to get from alice. i liked that the main reef reminded me of KORNs old stuff, and i felt like the Seattle days are back!!

All i want is that the full album will be good as this single
